I know your not trying to be offensive or negative but knowing people with bipolar disorder it’s more of a spectrum and using it as an adjective can perpetuate stereotypes about the illness and can minimize the struggle that people with the disorder go through.

Yes. Good point. I have a brother-in-law with BPD, and (his issues aside) dealing with the weather is easier.
I’m not trying to devalue BPD. I know that people affected by it have a massive “cross to bear” and I feel for them. However, as someone who is married to a person whose brother is BPD-afflicted, it’s a massive burden on those who are related and thosewho have to deal with the situation in a way that the affected party will never understand—or in my case even contemplate because he doesn’t recognize the diagnosis. Hence the comment.
I certainly don’t denigrate anyone’s suffering. Just a comment on the current weather, since it mimics my brother-in-law’s recent behavior though only in minor details as opposed to the massive strain it is putting on my wife.

Okay, I was pretty sure you didn’t mean it in a negative way and I was trying to make sure that my commentdidn’t come off in any sort of aggressive way.
Maybe I’m just being to sensitive.

Lots of jackasses out there. I try not to be an extra one, but my wife can tell you I'm not always successful
